Flower Crown

What you will need:

  • Construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Tape
  • Pencil

Step-by-Step

  • Start by cutting 2 long strips of construction paper (your choice of colour) as this will be the head band to the crown.
  • Tape 2 ends together but do not join it into a loop yet, as you will not be able to adjust size later!
  • To make the flowers, cut squares of construction paper in a variety of colours, the size of the squares cut will determine the size of the flowers.
  • Fold each square into quarters (in half and half again leaving a small folded square) and then draw a simple petal shape. Cut them out avoiding the corner with the double fold, this is the centre of your flower!
  • You can then cut out some flower centres and leaves from other colours, then glue your flower petals together to form flowers!
  • Glue your flowers to the headband to form the crown, don’t be afraid to overlap them!
  • Wrap the crown around your child’s head to measure and then tape the ends of the headband in place to get the correct size!
